The Muck of Ages

Something really fucked up is happening on Tumblr.

I love Tumblr. I will defend Tumblr as the kindest and least annoying “social network”/ broadcasting community out there. But something fucked up is happening right now.

I just did a search for the tag “Marxism”.

And I got some of the most disgusting rotten.com quality image spam I’ve ever seen. I want to hurl. It’s coming from multiple accounts, but I can’t imagine that it’s anything but intentional (and not the “hey look what Marxism does to people” kind of intentional but the “hey lets make sure no one can discuss Marxism” kind of intentional).

I dunno, maybe I’m a conspiracy theorist on one hand or maybe I understand how the internet works on the other. And that’s fucked up.

So is this a thing? That happens?
